Happy 4th of July
This coming 4th of July, we celebrate the spirit of freedom and the enduring promise of the American dream.
It’s a time to gather with family and friends, enjoy fireworks, and honor our nation’s history. Wishing everyone a joyful and safe Independence Day!
Head to the lake on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10 p.m. to catch Chicago’s Independence Day fireworks display at Navy Pier.
This annual spectacle, set to patriotic music, is part of Navy Pier’s beloved free summer fireworks series, which runs every Wednesday and Saturday all summer long, including the week of Independence Day. Navy Pier, an iconic destination along Chicago’s waterfront, also offers family-friendly activities, lakefront boat cruises, carnival rides, local dining, and sweeping skyline views.
For more ways to celebrate the holidays in Chicago, visit the websites for Choose Chicago for tourism highlights or check out NBC Chicago Channel 5 for a full list of fireworks shows across dozens of Chicago suburbs
Note: There will be no fireworks on Friday, July 4.
